The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the entire shift and ensuring  all operations run smoothly & efficiently in the store. This includes production, retail and drive-thru operation.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees all store activities during a scheduled period
  • Train and ensure that employees are working efficiently and effectively
  • Maintaining adequate staff in retail and production positions
  • Perform all business tasks as required for effective operation
  • Ensuring customers are being cared for properly
  • Model exceptional customer service skills for employees
  • Handle difficult customer situations professionally
  • Operate the POS system properly
  • Operate production equipment while following company policies and procedures
  • Must utilize proper sanitation techniques while Complying with sanitation standard
  • Complete a processing schedule as needed
  • Must be able to perform all essential store functions

Leadership:

  • Perform as a team player
  • Assist in training and development of Team Members
  • Handle customer and employee complaints or concerns professionally
  • Assist management with staff scheduling and team-building
  • Supports Managers with training of new employees
  • Assist with execution of corporate initiatives (i.e. Marketing, HR policies and procedures)

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position may supervise 10-20 team members at any given time based on business needs.

Work Environment:

  • The Job operates in a retail bakery environment. The role routinely uses bakery equipment including kitchen utensils, icing mixers, donut fillers and rolling donut racks. This position also uses back end essentials such as sinks, water sprayers and sanitation equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, Kneeling and reaching the entire time scheduled. The employee must lift and/or move items that weigh up to 20 pounds roughly twice an hour. Sanitation use of a broom, dust pan, spray cleaners, soap and water are frequently during all schedule days.

Position Type and Expected Hours:

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Evening, night and weekend work is required as schedule demands

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working with people and history of dependability
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
