Sales Associate - Full Time - Winter Seasonal

The North Face - Main Street - Breckenridge Ski Resort 

With 50 years in the outdoor industry, The North Face is the premier supplier of authentic, innovative and technologically advanced exploration apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories. 

Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Greet guests with a welcoming, friendly, and outgoing attitude
• Serve customers by establishing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting product through point of successful sale
• Establish professional, personalized rapport with customers in person and over the phone
• Answer all questions, providing detailed information, and establishing trust with customers to help close sales
• Approach and reapproach customers to maximize sales
• Describe and promote products in line with customer's express needs as well as promoting purchase of related products
• Use POS software to efficiently complete sales and exhibit accurate cash handling skills
• Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
• Promote extended warranty/maintenance agreements, parts and accessories purchase
• Provide light cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal

Qualifications:

• Commitment to exceptional customer service
• Ability to connect with guests with an outgoing, friendly attitude
• Team-oriented and responsible
• Familiarity with The North Face company and product - preferred
• Avid outdoorsperson with an understanding of the technical requirement for quality backcountry clothing - highly preferred
• Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
• Previous retail sales experience - preferred
• Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English - required
• Basic computer skills - required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends - required
