Job SummaryThe cardiovascular technologist acts as a clinical / technical support team member. They are competent in cardiac invasive procedural skill sets such as, surgical scrub, hemodynamic monitoring and clinical data computation and acquisition. The cardiovascular technologist provides on call coverage as assigned and as rotations require. They are competent in cardiac imaging PACS acquisition and data management. The CVT is required to functionally perform duties in Cath Lab, EP lab and Interventional Vascular Lab as needed on a daily basis. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of Phoebe. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills. Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelinesWorking Conditions General environment\: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels. May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights. May be exposed to limited hazardous substances or body fluids, or infectious organisms. May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur. May be scheduled as needed including overtime

Education Requirements 2 year / Associate Degree in Accredited Cardiovascular Program (Required)Experience Requirements 1 - 2 years Cardiovascular Technology Experience(Required)General Skills Organizational Skills,Communication Skills,Interpersonal Skills,Customer Relations,Mathematical,Analytical,Grammar / Spelling,Read / Comprehend Written Instructions,Follow Verbal Instructions,Basic Computer Skills,General Clerical Skills.Physical Requirements Have near normal hearing; Hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice Have near normal vision\: Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors Have good manual dexterity Have good eye-hand-foot coordination Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motionPhysical Demands Occasionally within shift (1-33%) \: Sitting,Climbing,Bending/Stooping,Twist at waist,Pushing/Pulling,Lift/carry > 20 lbs with assistance,Reaching above shoulder. Frequently within shift (34-66%) \: Standing,Walking.Certifications and Licensures Required Certifications/Licensures \: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),Basic Life Support (BLS),Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) obtained within one year of hire, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) obtained within one year of hire, or Radiology Tech (ARRT).
