Job Summary: Works under the direction of the Mgr. Investigations and is responsible for providing surveillance support to assigned regions within SHC to mitigate shrink. Utilizes remote monitoring to protect company assets, identify fraud, assess Asset & Profit Protection (APP) Controls and other operational disciplines, and identify safety and member experience issues. Works closely with Investigators and Field APP teams to investigate both internal and external fraud.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conducts regularly scheduled surveillances using Remote CCTV Monitoring ensuring APP Best Practices and procedures are followed with the intent to identify and deter dishonest activity and reduce shrink
  • Utilizes Remote CCTV Monitoring and Investigator analytics for the following:
  • Impressions of Control (IOC), refund validations, and miscellaneus verifications
  • Performs remote video retrievals/scheduled monitoring as assigned for non-staffed stores
  • Conducts scheduled CCTV Audits on select high risk area such as MPU, Service Desk, Receiving, Jewelry, and Cash Office
  • Identifies safety, and operational issues and communicates them to store teams for immediate correction
  • Provides Investigative Remote Monitoring review for 'non-staffed' stores where local APMs are not assigned
  • Utilizes Remote CCTV Monitoring to identify cases involving Organized Retail Crime groups at the direction of the Investigator
  • Assists Investigators and Field APP in retrieving CCTV Video for investigative and training purposes
  • Conducts LIVE CCTV surveillances as needed for Investigations or IOC process
  • Utilizes reporting from Investigators and the APP Information Reporting System
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Education Experience: High School Diploma or GED
  • Years of Related Experience: 1-2 years experience
    • Competency in Shortage Control, Safety, Retail Operations, theft patterns and Organized Retail Crime
    • Excellent Communication skills (written & verbal)
    • Confidence communicating with District, and Regional leadership
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality relating to investigations
    • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Abilitiy to multi-task with strong organizational skills
  • Preferred Skills:
    • CCTV systems knowledge
    • Loss Prevention Experience
