This role will serve as the lead Learning and Development (L&D) business partner for our Consumer Brands business. In this strategic role, you will partner with the business to identify performance and development opportunities while collaborating with the L&D team to develop and deploy solutions. You will also champion and lead key talent and learning programs to support the business strategy and priorities.

As an L&D strategic partner, you will work closely with business leaders, L&D and HR colleagues to diagnose performance issues and talent development needs through dialogue, assessment methodologies and talent and performance analytics. You will conduct needs assessments based on skill or development gaps and share key findings with the business. You will also partner with business and HR leaders to understand and align to business strategies and priorities.

Based on defined performance or talent gaps, you will identify appropriate talent, leadership or training-based solutions to support the business need. Based on the need, you will partner with the L&D organization to design, develop and deploy business-specific learning or talent programs.

In this role, you will also be responsible for deploying and reinforcing company-wide training, talent and development programs and initiatives, including company-wide training, talent and performance management and leadership development programs.

You will also manage and maintain existing training programs in partnership with L&D, business HR teams, and business leaders to ensure the effective onboarding of frontline employees.

As the L&D business partner, you will lead and support the talent management and performance management processes in partnership with L&D and the business HR teams. You will develop communication and project plans to support the roll out of these talent processes and leverage our talent management technology to manage the process. As the strategic L&D partner, you will also capture insights gained through the process to inform learning, leadership development, talent pipeline and succession strategies.

You will manage the business L&D Specialist(s) and delegate L&D priorities and work as appropriate. You will also partner with the L&D specialist to manage L&D programs and plan BU-specific learning implementations and adoption strategies.

In your role, you will investigate available learning solutions to determine the most effective manner by which to meet specific learning needs and identify opportunities to measure learning outcomes and results.

You will lead change management initiatives, in partnership with other H&R and L&D resources. You will be responsible for performing stakeholder analysis, building communication plans and executing change plans.

You will collaborate with L&D leadership to allocate resources based on prioritization, capacity and capability. In the scoping and planning process, you will be asked to outline development estimates and timelines as well as communicate project priority decisions to BU leadership.

You will also engage appropriate resources from elsewhere in the business to solve the need if a learning or talent solution cannot be used to address an identified performance gap.

You are responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company’ culture and code of ethics, as well as other policies and standards of conduct.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as Human Resources Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Design/Technology, Educational Psychology, etc.

Years of Related Experience: 8-10 years of experience; 3+ years experience in designing & developing learning or talent programs

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to develop a holistic view of performance problems identify root causes and suggest training or talent-based solutions;
  • Analytical communication interpersonal and influencing skills;
  • Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of business leaders, instructional designers, corporate HR and external vendors;
  • Consulting skills including partner-facing skills aimed at determining the partner's need perceived roadblocks business unit culture and work environment issues;
  • Knowledge of training and organizational development theories and instructional design models;
  • Project management skills and ability to facilitate organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects;
  • Risk mitigation skills to help eliminate potential roadblocks in the design and delivery of training programs;
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of training on overall corporate performance;
  • Strong change management experience and skills to ensure initiative success and adoption;
  • Prior learning consulting performance consulting or other consulting experience; Organizational development experience a plus
