We are looking for a few substitute food service workers to join our team at Tyrone Area School District. This position is not limited to one responsibility as you may be called upon to run a cash register, prepare food, serve lunch or breakfast, count inventory, operate a dish room, etc. Again this is a substuitue position so work is available as needed. However, I am looking for one (1) long-term substitute and we've utilized at least one substitute worker a day so far this school year and will do even more so once the winter months approach. Sometimes a kitchen manager may provide a date of when your services will be needed ahead of time and other times you might receive a call that morning. Also, when a position does become available, we do tend to hire in-house so you would have a leg-up on the competition for any job openings in the food service department.



Qualifications:

• Must pass all three clearances required to work in a school district (FBI Finger printing, Child Abuse, & State Police) before starting
• Tyrone Area School District requires everyone who works on their property to have a TB test performed and provide the results
• Must be able to obtain appropraite attire (black/tan pants, non-slip shoes, we provide polos/shirts/aprons/hair nets.
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
• Capable to stand on feed for long periods of time
• Has no issues performing simple math
