  • We are hiring on all 3 shifts at our Berea Ohio location. $10 Hr on 1st shift $11 hr on 2nd shift $12 hr on 3rd Shift. If you have machine operation experience you may have an opportunity to start out at a higher pay rate. Interviews will start immediately at our Parma office location. We have about 12 open positions at this time for Temp to hire candidates only apply.

Optical Coating
Operate and monitor vacuum chamber for the deposition of optical coatings on optical surfaces.

Hand or ultrasonically clean and inspect optical components in preparation of depositing optical coatings on optical surfaces. Load optical components on standard, special or improvised fixtures and place them in vacuum chamber. Select, measure and place the applicable chemicals in vacuum chamber. Operate and monitor vacuum chamber for the deposition of "simple" coatings such as Alu-Sio and MgF2.

  • Test coatings with a spectrophotometer and laser-photometer equipment. Clean vacuum chamber periodically. Record and file test data. Work to drawings, written or verbal instructions.
  • Remove coatings in various acid baths.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in neat and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.
  • Position Requirements
  • Technical high school diploma or equivalent.
  • High school level reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to read and work to simple technical drawings, written specifications and verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of basic elementary optic theory.
  • Aptitude to handle delicate optical components.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to inspect optical surfaces
  • Experience and basic knowledge of vacuum equipment vacuum techniques in general and the deposition of optical coatings specifically, preferred.

Final Inspector/Optical

Job Title: Q.C. Final Inspector/Optical Department: Inspection

Reports To: Finishing Supervisor

SUMMARY

Inspect final product (frames and lenses) for any visible irregularities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

  • Prioritize work based on start dates while following all standard operating procedures
  • Inspect the final product according to Hoya and ANSI Standards.
  • Communicate with Supervisor regarding issues and problems.

Secondary Duties

  • Cross-train in other positions (i.e. mounting, tinting, polishing, etc.)
  • Help in other areas of department when needed

PRODUCTION AND QUALITY GOALS

  • Produce 40 jobs per hour with less that 2%Returns/Audit Rejects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of Finish (Final Inspection/Optical) Experience
  • 1 year of Finish (Mounting) Experience in Optical
  • 1-2 years of Optical Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • The ability to communication openly with others and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
  • Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.

Job Description

Job Title: Surface Tech I Department: Surface

SUMMARY

Maintains surface equipment working, clear errors from equipment, and ensures cleanliness and proper operation of assigned equipment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains assigned equipment operational
  • Clears errors from equipment and restarts equipment
  • Ensures equipment has all necessary consumables loaded for operation (alloy, blocks, pads, polish, etc.)
  • Ensures equipment is kept clean during the shift
  • Takes part of scheduled equipment clean up
  • Informs management of equipment malfunction
  • Informs management of quality issues
  • Informs management of any equipment issues
  • Keeps area clean
  • Help in other areas when needed
  • Helps with light calibration, setup, and maintenance operations.
  • Records data accurately from equipment of process as requested by management
  • Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab
