JOB SUMMARY:

To enforce policy and control procedures, to provide a safe and pleasurable environment for guests and employees. Responsible for the response to and care of emergency medical situations in the casino/hotel area involving guests and/or employees. To provide this care to the best of their abilities within the scope of their training and until such time it is no longer needed or until relieved by EMS personnel.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values

Verify and guard all currency transfers

Enforce Project 21

Respond to emergency situations

Resolve customer disputes professionally

Verify and escort Game Technicians

Issue and inventory badges for visitors and vendors

Provide and maintain service standards to guests as set by department

Posted at all entrances to enforce policies

Work closely with surveillance

Work closely with the local Police Department

Retrieve and verify lost and found items

Patrol parking lots; direct traffic; assist with valet parking

Responsible for filing reports on safety, OSHA, lost and found, and any other incident of liability

Implement and comply with internal controls

Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale

Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved with projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions

Responsible for department EMS equipment, oxygen tanks and AED'S

Maintain an inventory of medical supplies used to ensure departmental medical supply needs are met

Respond and treat, within the scope of their training (not to exceed EMT Basic level), any medical condition or injury until no longer needed or relieved by local EMS

Recommend to guests/employees to seek medical treatment by a physician and/or medical facility. This recommendation in no way conveys liability for the casino, but merely shows the EMT is exercising their duties as an EMT

Will NOT recommend treatments or medications to guests or employees

Respond to all medical emergencies when dispatched and perform to the best of his/her abilities

Complete all duty-associated documents in a complete and timely manner

Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED required

Must possess and maintain valid insurable North Carolina drivers license required

Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician through the state of North Carolina required

Successful completion of the Security Basic Officer Course. (Can be completed within six months of hire date.)

Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:

Complete knowledge of all internal controls

Complete knowledge of all emergency procedures

Excellent attendance in previous positions

Previous customer service experience preferred

Willing to learn and be adaptable

Attention to detail/observant

Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes

Comfortable under surveillance

Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

Officers will be required to and have the ability to perform all of the duties of a floor officer in addition to those specialized tasks that are required of an Emergency Medical Technician

Maintain all required certifications with no lapses in certification

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift up to and carry 100 pounds

Must be physically capable of performing MACH Controlled Force Tactical Training

Must be able to be on feet/stand for 12 hour shift

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grasp items

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Must be able to maneuver in all areas of the casino and hotel

Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
