The Front of House Shift Leader is responsible for helping to ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and maintaining quality controls for cleanliness while learning the business of restaurant management through on the job training.
• Manages the Opening Checklist and ensures that the store is prepared for the day.
• Provides support to the Manager-on-Duty (MOD)
• Acts as shift leader and leads all staff working the front door and dining areas
• Ensures proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Ensures the safety of employees & guests at all times
• Upholds all company values and service standards at all times
• Assists with conducting pre-shift huddles
• Conducts table visits to ensure guest satisfaction throughout the shift
• Handles guest complaints and communicates problems to the MOD
• Communicates effectively with staff, guests, and other members of management
• Manages the Closing Checklist and ensures that all employees are checked out, the store is fully cleaned, preparations are complete for the next day’s shift, and the building is safe and secured.
• Certified in all closing procedures by completing the Certified Opening/Closing Hourly Shift Leader Level 2 Program.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or requested

Requirements

Job Requirements
* At least 6 months' experience working at a Carolina Ale House location or equivalent
* Serves as a Leader or Trainer in their store
* Completes Hourly Shift Leader Training Level 1 training program
* Completes Certified Opening/Closing Hourly Shift Leader Level 2 training program
* Safety and security training to ensure all team members and guests are safe
* Proficiency in at least two positions desired
* Strong interpersonal skills
