Overview

The Consumer and Marketing Services Clerk will utilize written and verbal communication skills to respond to customer and guest inquiries and complaints. The Clerk will apply knowledge of store operations to resolve issues and provide appropriate information in a timely manner. Customer Service is key. The Clerk will perform duties which may be complex in nature and involve the application of standard procedures to a variety of details requiring some independent analysis. Occasionally exercises judgment in the selection and application of data. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of department and company policies and procedures in dealing with assigned area. Minimum supervision is required.

Responsibilities

* Respond to all customer questions concerning the Price Chopper AdvantEdge Card, Fuel AdvantEdge, Pet Club, Baby Club and all related frequent shopper programs.

* Update the customer and marketing database with all customer information.

* Process all replacement AdvantEdge Card requests, Pet Club and Baby Club sign-ups.

* Process all adjustments for Fuel AdvantEdge and all frequent shopper programs along with balancing daily adjustment reports.

* Scan and verify all new AdvantEdge Card applications.

* Process and ship Price Chopper gift card orders.

* Process and assist customers with SOS orders.

* Receive and document customer communications.

* Maintain customer communication database.

* Facilitate complaint resolution process.

* Prepare customer response letters.

* Prepare reports.

* Assist with other department tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Satisfactory performance reviews.

* Excellent data entry skills - Windows and Microsoft Office, Excel and Access preferred.

* Familiarity with AdvantEdge Card, Fuel AdvantEdge and other AdvantEdge Reward Programs preferred.

* 6 months to 1 year of customer service desk or related experience preferred.

* Excellent organizational skills.

* Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.

* Excellent attendance record.

* Demonstrated commitment to Customer Service.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must.

* Understanding of corporate and store policies.

* Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Any final candidate who is offered the position will be required to complete a pre-employment background check.
