Job Description

Title: Community Porter
Supervisor: Director of Maintenance/Landscape Maintenance Specialist
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
General Summary: Ensures that the Lake Nona communities are Camera Ready at all times

Essential Job Functions:
• Maintains a regular daily inspection route of neighborhood roads and parks
• Picks up construction debris and other foreign material from roadways
• Reports builder lot infractions to the appropriate parties through regular reports
• Reports landscaping quality issues to the appropriate parties through regular reports
• Reports any builder issues which have gone past the allowed timeframe for correction
• Empties several trash receptacles within the community
• Performs small projects such as blowing off sidewalks, weed trimming, tree trimming, silt fence repair
• Takes on an ownership mentality for the appearance of the streets, roadways, and parks
• Acts as a set of eyes and ears for the developer within the community
• Acts as a community ambassador representing Tavistock in a positive manner
• Spends 90% of time outdoors in the field and 10% in the office
• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
* Ability to articulate thoughts and actively listen in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, members and guests
* Ability to use empathy to understand members, guests and coworkers feelings or mood and responding in the appropriate tone and manner
* Ability to demonstrate proactive hospitality by taking the initiative to approach members, guests and coworkers with a positive and upbeat attitude
* Demonstrated track record of showing responsibility through taking ownership of issues and following through
* Must hold a valid Florida driver's license and qualify for insurance through the company's insurance carrier
* Must have the ability to safely drive a golf cart

Essential Physical Requirements:
* This position includes climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions
* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
* Must be able to navigate through rough and uneven terrain
* Must have ability to work in hot, muggy and inclement weather conditions on continuous basis
* Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
* Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
* Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above
