A local CPA firm is currently seeking a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have an Accounting Degree, and/or 3 years experience as a Public Accountant. The Senior Accountant will perform professional accounting functions such as general ledger and financial statement preparation, monthly and year-end closing assistance, account reconciliations, sales and payroll tax returns, depreciation schedule preparation, software trouble shooting, and other client initiated requests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with special projects including interim controller, training client accounting personnel, and establishing accounting processes
- Provide proactive client service, and meaningful accounting solutions
- Warm and effective communication with clients and co-workers
- Championing the department within the office, the firm, and the community
Requirements:
- Accounting Degree, and/or 3 years experience in public accounting
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor
- QuickBooks
- Peachtree
- Microsoft Dynamics
- Sage
- Intacct or similar general ledger software package desired
Evaluation Hire Position
M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm
$15.00-$20.00/hour DOE
