Industrial Janitor

We are now actively recruiting a full-time Industrial Janitor for this location. This position is 40 hours per week with potential overtime. Assigned shift may be 8 to 10 hours/day, and some additional hours may be required.

The Industrial Janitor maintains the general appearance and overall cleanliness of our plant, equipment, production systems, and work areas. Duties include cleaning dust, grease, and lint from large industrial machines, auxiliary equipment, overhead pipes, conveyors, and work stations. He or she must be reliable, have a stable work history, and pass extensive pre-employment background checks (including a criminal background check) and a drug test.

Successful candidates must:
* Be able to work independently and display a strong work ethic
* Possess basic mechanical skills
* Demonstrate high attention to detail
* Be able to work early mornings, early evenings, and/or occasional weekend days

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains the general appearance and overall cleanliness of our plant, equipment, production systems, and work areas
• Cleans dust, grease, and lint from large industrial machines, auxiliary equipment, overhead pipes, conveyors, and work stations
• Performs all assigned duties in a safe fashion and in accordance with OSHA standards and directives
• Reports any unsafe conditions or practices to management in a prompt fashion
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to work early mornings, early evenings, and/or occasional weekend days
• Able to work independently
• Must have a highly reliable work performance record
• Must pass extensive pre-employment checks (including background check and drug test)
• Must have reliable transportation in order to report to work as scheduled
