Sunrise Senior Living and has immediate need for a CapEx Project Coordiantor at its Community Support Office located in McLean, VA (Tysons Corner).

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the department management team with initial capital expenditure (CapEx) budget entry, development and revisions
  • Accompany the department leaders to community site visits and assist in the evaluation of priorities, condition of each asset, current need(s) and development of the respective 3-year capital budget plan
  • Track and monitor the progress and spend on approved capital budgets
  • Provide ancillary analysis and reporting on capital projects, as requested
  • Seamlessly facilitate and ensure the continuity of time-sensitive capital project-related communication with internal and external process partners, e.g., coordinating conference calls, timely dispositioning email correspondence, etc.
  • Support and respond to questions/concerns from the communities related to approved projects
  • Act as department liaison to external company stakeholders involved in the CapEx budget process
Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; additional relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a 4-year degree (year-for-year)
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Capital budget planning/implementation experience; interior design and/or facility maintenance background preferred, but not necessary
  • Senior living or hospitality improvement/construction experience preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and work as part of a team
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills; commitment to consistent outstanding customer service and the ability to interact with all levels in the organization with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must have intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook user proficiency
