JOB SUMMARY
This job is responsible for retirement program administration support and data reconciliation and analysis. The Benefits Analyst will work primarily with Charters Defined Contribution Plans (401(k) and Retirement Accumulation Plan to process weekly funding, analyze and correct file errors and discrepancies, and support special projects partnering with senior members of the retirement team and Charters plan recordkeeper. Research and analysis of HRIS data, payroll data, and participant transactions is a significant portion of this role.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with weekly Defined Contribution funding reconciliation, file processing and error resolution

Analyze DC plan utilization data and reporting to identify trends

Track retirement vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate processing and payment

Review and respond to employee inquires and escalations via case management system

Support retirement special projects as needed

Assist with the annual retirement plan audits and non-discrimination testing

Assist with the review and update of information on the total rewards site

Support retirement strategic initiatives such as Financial Wellness programs and plan design strategy evaluation

Assist in overseeing assigned vendors and work closely with internal teams to ensure that deliverables are received accurately and on a timely basis

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Perform other related duties and assist in other areas of the employee benefit programs as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Excellent analytical skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of HRIS systems-PeopleSoft preferred
Prior experience working with payroll data and transactions a plus
Working knowledge of retirement and benefit plans and general retirement industry landscape
Must have prior 401(k)/Defined Contribution administration experience in a corporate environment
Ability to evaluate systems and procedures and develop improvements
Ability to analyze and interpret data and perform analysis of systems and procedures to identify potential process improvements
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to document in a clear and straightforward manner
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively in a fast paced environment
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish responsibilities in a timely manner
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, peers, benefit vendors, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner



EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree HR, Finance/Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
