Overnight Housekeeper - Full-time / Part-time

The Nemacolin Overnight Housekeeper will provide neat and sanitized cleanliness in the public areas, restrooms and the spa to enable the hotel to operate smoothly. This associate will participate in related activities to include stocking carts, reporting maintenance issues, completing daily assignment sheets, supplying clean linen to guest rooms and operating commercial cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate for this position is detail oriented, is able to work independently while meeting Forbes and AAA standards, and constantly striving to exceed guests expectations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Clean the Spa, restrooms and all public areas.

Maintain 5 star standard

Carry items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.

Replenish & clean public areas with all toiletries.

Clean rugs, carpets, dust furniture, and sweep and mop floors using vacuum cleaners, brooms, and mops.

Report any mechanical failures to manager or engineering departments.

Take all trash to designated areas.

Report to work on time with a clean uniform, name tag, and maintain appearance according to Nemacolin Policies and Standards.

Anticipate needs of other departments and act on them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Must be able to work some holidays and weekends.

Must be able to speak English.

Must be able to communicate effectively and participate in all departmental and resort-wide training initiatives.

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.

Must be able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
