Seeking a manufacturing Manager for Immediate hire for a shop in Phoenix, AZ. Position can be a direct hire or a contract - hire route based on the candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the manufacturing of components made from various raw materials such as; paper fiber gasketing, rubber, foams, adhesives, and foils into finished goods.
- Understanding of tooling such as steel dies, compound/progressive die set and rotary dies. Includes management of a 1st and 2nd shift production team.
- Responsible for developing and detailed, motivated and flexible team by building working relationships ensuring health and safety and environmental requirements.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in working practices and processes.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience is required.
- Plant level experience w/significant proven supervisory experience managing 15-30 employees.
- Understanding of advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Kaizen and Lean manufacturing.
- Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office.
- Be a hands on manager and be willing to help the operators get the machine set up when needed.
- Highly mechanically inclined.
- Metal stamping experience is highly preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Bilingual is a huge plus.
