About this job

Interact with varying levels of Manufacturing and engineering staff. Minimal external customer contacts would include tours by visitors, investors and possibly questions from auditors.
Assemble components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures. Assembly may be in clean rooms, and may involve assembly of miniature components under a microscope.
Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product. Utilize hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and custom fixtures, tools and assembly aids.
Participate in meetings as required.
Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements on an ongoing basis.
Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to clean room environment practices and procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g. timecards) and special projects.
Strictly adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations.
Fulfill assembly requests for prototypes against verbal or written instructions, as required.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.
Train other assemblers on a wide range of tasks.
