This company recently won a 2.5 Million dollar project from Ford for new controls systems.
-New control systems are needed when new car models are released, or for existing process improvements.
- These major control systems are mainly installed during Ford's 2, 2 week shut downs (July/December)
-Some minor systems can be installed during operations.
Position:
-Main responsibilities of this position will be to design AND program control systems for the Ford Chicago Assembly Plant.
- All design will be completed using Allen-Bradley RS logix 5000
-All programming will be completed using Allen-Bradley Control Logix
-Design process will start from scratch and include: non-standard designs, system map layouts, generation of design packages, design logix, enter logic, and smart display design.
-This role is 60% office and 40% in the field. For the most part this candidate will work at Ford's CAP but some limited travel to Michigan could be required.
-While in the field, this candidate will also be assisting with installation of new control systems.
-In the field the candidate will be responsible for the launch and standby of the new system.
-Candidate will be responsible for any debugging.
-Create an AsBuilt and submit it to Project Engineer with Ford.
-Gather baseline date while in standby phase.
