About this job
This is a chemist role that will to conduct of laboratory procedures for agrochemical research. Responsibilities include processing various sample matrices (plant, animal, soil, etc), working with radioisotopes in safe manner, analysis of samples using techniques of combustion, liquid scintillation counting, extractions, assisting others experimental maintaining experimental setups, and various analytical procedures as required. This position will also be responsible for maintenance of laboratory notebooks, inventory logs, and instrument logbooks, performing instrumentation maintenance as required, data entry and discussion of data with project leader and managers as required. General laboratory duties including organization and maintenance of laboratory cleanliness. All duties performed in compliance with GLPs. Assistance with report writing. Assistance in other areas as assigned.
* Minimum 4 year college degree (BA/BS) with employment experience working in regulated laboratory environment (GLP, GMP, GCP, etc.)
* Experience performing chromatographic analysis using HPLC and/or TLC, solid phase extractions/purifications, sample concentration using rotary evaporator, contributing to writing SOPs, monitoring GLP compliance.
* Computer literate able to use common Microsoft Office software programs (Outlook,
Excel and Word) and laboratory instrument software (ChemStation, Laura, ImageQuant, Radiochromatogram Program, etc.)
* Able to troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered.
* Must be able to lift and carry 22 pounds (10 kg).
