Seeking an Analytical Chemist with a fast paced, growing company; specifically in a Quality Control lab working on Global flavor innovation.
Job Duties:
- Analytical evaluation of experimental flavors
- Reporting analytical results within project timelines
- Validating and releasing incoming raw materials for use
- Isolation and identification of flavor compounds from various finished product matrices
- Develop methodology that advances capabilities in reverse engineering of finished goods
- Liaising with contract laboratories and academic collaborators as required
- Calibration, maintenance and general care of analytical equipment
- Dedicate 20% of time to personal research to prepare for annual presentation for possible consideration of implementation
Requirements:
- 1+ years experience with GC-MC and GC-FID; have worked on a project from start to finish independently and autonomously and not just a few times in a college class
- Bachelor in Chemistry or a Masters in the same discipline
- Good Organic Chemistry experience
- Needs to be able to Communicate professionally with a wide range of individuals
Wishlist:
- Ideally would be a food scientist major with a analytical chemistry background
- Hands on experience with maintenance on machines
