Medical Response Officer - $17/hr!

If this sounds like you, Securitas Security Services USA wants YOU! We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Response Officer at a premiere health industry client in the Downtown Chicago area! For the right candidate, we will apply for PERC and other licenses, and we will enter all candidates into the security training courses! No security experience required!

Number of Positions Available: 1

Shift: 10am-6pm CST Monday through Friday

Location: Downtown Chicago/Loop

Pay Rate: $17 per hour plus full benefits

The Medical Response Officer's duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administers first aid treatment to and arranges for transport of sick or injured persons to medical facility, working as member of emergency medical team.
  • Determines nature and extent of illness or injury, or magnitude of catastrophe, to establish first aid procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance, basing decisions on statements of persons involved, examination of victim or victims, and knowledge of emergency medical practice.
  • Administers prescribed first aid treatment at site of emergency, or in specially equipped vehicle, performing such activities as application of splints, administration of oxygen, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of artificial resuscitation.
  • Communicates with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and to arrange for reception of victims at treatment facility.
  • Provides protective services by making periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
  • Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
  • Prepares logs and reports as required.

All candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be able to work shift and location as described above
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a High School graduate or have GED certificate, or must be enrolled in classes and projected to finish within 6 months (from date of hire)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have employment eligibility documents
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet all company hiring standards including, but not limited to, background checks, reference checks, controlled substance testing and State of Illinois licensing requirements
  • Must have access to public or private transportation
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as personal mobile device
  • Good written and oral English communication skills
  • Ability to project a professional appearance
