Overview

As a part of our sales team, Recruiting Coordinators will provide preliminary scouting assessments to identify qualified prospects for college coaches. Recruiting Coordinators are the first touch point for our student-athletes and their families who have reached out to NCSA through our marketing efforts and strategic partnerships.

During the Recruiting Coordinator's initial phone evaluation. They are responsible for qualifying prospects academically and athletically, uncovering a family s recruiting needs, while also educating the family on how NCSA can assist them through the difficult recruiting process. Finally, the National Scout s goal on each phone conversation is to schedule qualified families with a full evaluation interview by a Recruiting Specialist and prepare them for the exciting tools and benefits that could be unlocked with a paid membership.

To be successful in the Recruiting Coordinator position, candidates should have exceptional phone communication skills, good listening skills, a competitive nature, and a background in and passion for sports and/or sales.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a recruiting list\" of potential college prospects to identify those who might have the ability to compete at the collegiate level
  • Conduct initial research on each athlete to begin the evaluation process for college coaches
  • Conduct personalized phone assessments with parents of student-athletes
  • Educate families on all aspects of the recruiting process and the importance of being evaluated by a third party like NCSA
  • Schedule qualified families with a full evaluation interview by an NCSA Head Scout
  • Work hand in hand with a team of Head Scouts and keep their calendars filled with qualified families for evaluations
  • Exceed communication of 3 hours/day with parents and student-athletes by making outbound dials
  • Create a memorable experience for every family who engages with NCSA
  • Adhere to the NCSA Core Values at ALL times
  • Successfully complete NCSA s National Scout training course and actively participate in continued education and training opportunities to stay up to date with NCAA/NAIA rules and regulations as well as NCSA s conceptual selling techniques

  • Former college athlete or coaching experience strongly preferred
  • Passionate about sports and helping people
  • 1-3 years of professional career experience, ideally in sales
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Competitive results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Excellent phone communication and listening skills
  • Outgoing personality with great energy and phone presence
  • Bachelor s Degree Strongly Preferred
  • Basic knowledge of 28 different Olympic sports
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule some nights/weekends
