Job DescriptionAudio / Visual Installation TechnicianThoth Solutions, Inc. is a privately owned full service integrator specializing in Project Management and Systems Consulting Services since 1996. We are seeking a technically-minded Audio / Visual Installation Technician with exceptional skills with setting up and connecting a variety of television, computer and peripheral equipment to join our team. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses strong understanding of all A/V equipment and components and has strong troubleshooting and repair abilities. Qualifications:
  • Experience in installing state of the art commercial audiovisual systems
  • Sound knowledge of the video and audio signals and different radio frequencies
  • Deep knowledge to interpret blue prints, drawings and sheet plans
  • Ability to perform first and second fix of the audio video installations
  • Wide knowledge of commercial A/V installation, A/V system setup and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with fabrication, cable terminations and installation of Audio Video components
  • Skilled to operate the various hand tools and vehicles for maintenance and repair of equipmentRequirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years experience
    • High School Diploma or GED required; A formal education in electronics or related field from a trade school is preferred
    • Ability to read/interpret schematics and drawings
    • Work off of a ladder
    • Commercial/residential experience a plus
    • Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work within varied conditions some which may be small or confined
    • Reliable transportation, a valid driver s license - must pass a drug screen
    • Flexibility to travel or work overtime as necessary
    • Candidate must own basic hand/power tools. Industry specific will be provided.Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Work as part of a crew or independently with Project Manager / General Contractors
      • Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling
      • Able to wire/terminate low voltage and Cat 5 cables
      • Ability to safely use hand/power tools
      • Ability to solder and crimp connectors
      • Commitment to work within specified deadlines and provide daily field updates
      • Excellent organizational skills and the desire to work for a professional company
      • Test and resolve equipment issues.
      • Diagnose and correct media system problems.
      • Coordinate audio feeds with television images.
      • Ensure equipment the safe transfer and shipment of equipment.
      • Perform duties on location.
      • Maintain inventory of equipment.
