The Director of Retail Marketing is an Integrated Channel leader who will drive brand and retailer initiatives to provide key strategies that maximize profitability of retail sales, drive brand awareness, and enhance brand loyalty. This person will collaborate actively with Senior Management, Cross-Functional Internal Teams and Retail Partners to develop programs, messaging and initiatives designed to drive sales within all retail channels that align with budget and key brand initiatives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support and help develop a strategic plan for all retailers working closely with Sales and Global Marketing
  • Partner with Sales on developing retailer specific strategies, customized tools and creative assets and ensure exemplary execution with a test & learn approach
  • Develop and maintain retailer specific marketing calendars, including new launch support, sampling, visual merchandising updates, events, in-store focus and themes
  • Lead strategy, development and execution of samples, sets and GWP initiatives across all retailers
  • Lead 360 marketing activation launch plans for all retailers to include pre, launch and post launch
  • Lead visual merchandising in-store updates across all retailers
  • Lead internal and external team communication of all pertinent retailer product information
  • Maintain strong relationships with retail partners to develop business strategies, gain alignment and excite them to support brand with programs leveraging the strength of key platforms (sampling, dotcom, social, loyalty)
  • Lead the planning, content strategy and execution of seasonal retailer market meetings
  • Budget: create, track and monitor sampling across all retailers
  • Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify opportunities within and across all retailers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to reinforce overarching company and brand strategies that align with budget, monitor and track retailer programming
  • Provide and share relevant consumer insights that influence strategy within retail channels
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with Global Marketing on product offerings and category opportunities within the retail channels
  • Work closely with Sales on new product and kit forecasts
  • Partner with Sales and Events team to develop national events strategy, as well as plan the yearly National Sales Meeting
  • Direct and guide Retail Marketing Team

EXPERIENCE /EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 10 years retail marketing experience, skincare or cosmetics industry preferred]
  • Experience working with national retailers (Ulta, Sephora, SiJCP)
  • Strong business and analytical acumen
  • Marketing, Trade Marketing and/or Retail Sales experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and computer skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
