Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and evaluate residents programs with an emphasis on healthy and active aging.
  • Act as Engage Life Director in communities that need support.
  • Assist in the training of new Engage Life staff including training on key programs.
  • Ensure that all assigned communities have Atria Engage Life policies and practices in place.
  • Set community program development goals in partnership with Operations.
  • Coach and mentor Engage Life staff in creating and administering a well rounded calendar of events that is filled with a variety of programs, events, and activities that are person centered and reflect the dimensions of engagement.
  • Assist in building active and healthy aging program development that impacts the quality of residents’ lives, allowing them to maintain their highest level of independence.
  • Maintains ARD program completing L.D.T.’s, Monthly Calendar, and all related Actions.
  • Provide accountability for Customer Satisfaction, Engage Life Quality Enhancement, and sales results for all assigned communities.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
100% travel required
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in gerontology, behavioral health, social work, recreation, fitness or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Four to ten years’ experience as a Senior Living Program (Activities) Director, Memory/Dementia Care Director or Director in a closely related industry. Past experience programming for independent, assisted living, and dementia care.
  • Multi-site and supervisory experience with program planning.
  • Experience rolling out, training, and implementing new programs. 
  • Valid driver’s license and able to drive an automobile, light truck, or van.
  • Must be able available for 100% travel.
