A successful analyst will have the following:

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in digital advertising yield and inventory management; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, statistics, computer science, or business.
  • Fluent in Excel with working knowledge of data querying and database management (e.g. SQL and Hadoop), data visualization (e.g. Tableau) and statistical analysis tools (e.g. R and Python).
  • A strong self-learner and creative problem solver who can navigate through unknown situations with minimal guidance.
  • A solid foundation in analytics, research, statistics, and ad tech with strong communication and quantitative skills.
  • Experience applying analytics in a business environment, e.g. predictive modeling, campaign measurement, etc.

DISH Media Sales is seeking a Digital Yield and Inventory Analyst based in New York City who will play a key role in maximizing the utilization of DISH Media Sales’ digital advertising inventory across Sling TV, DISH Anywhere and STB VOD to drive revenue growth.

 

The Digital Yield and Inventory Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Advertising Operations within the DISH Media Sales division.  He/she will have a solid understanding of how to manage digital ad inventory along with the television, OTT, TV Everywhere and digital advertising landscapes.

 

Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Model trends for digital ad inventory and yield, including programmatic, by using ad server, viewership, financial and industry data.
  • Create reporting with inventory utilization, sell-through, and revenue pacing. Use reporting to develop actionable, data driven insights and make recommendations to maximize revenue to upper management, sales and media planning teams.
  • Provide the digital ad sales team with support and guidance on requests regarding inventory availability, forecasting, valuations and campaign optimizations during the pre and post-sales lifecycles.
  • Determine optimal pricing floors and ranges for programmatic auctions, then provide recommendations to sales management.
  • Identify and implement yield and inventory management related workflow and technology enhancements to support scaling the business.
