A successful Senior Java Developer will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced experience in core Java 1.7 & 1.8
- All things Spring: Spring Boot - Spring Integration - Spring Cloud - Spring Security
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, database, and caching techniques
- Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma, rspec
- Working knowledge of TDD, BDD methodologies
The Senior Java Developer will be working on our SlingTV development teams in our Denver office. They will be working in an extremely collaborative and fast-paced environment using both scrum and XP methodologies. This person will act as a player coach within the team.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
- Experience leading full-stack agile development teams, and defining architecture for complex enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience with full-stack application development
- Ability to coordinate work between analysts, developers, & QA team
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product and other teams on requirements and possible solutions
- Strong communication skills with ability to provide explanation to others on complex issues
