TOUR COUNSELOR - Full-time

  TOUR COUNSELOR   The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) is seeking a Tour Counselor for its Virginia World War I and World War II Profiles of Honor Tour. The Profiles of Honor Tour will travel throughout Virginia and other states, serving as a traveling advertisement that promotes tourism destinations and events related to World War I and World War II in Virginia. The Tour Counselor's responsibilities will include on-site operations, assisting with logistics, setting up exhibits, and serving as an effective representative and ambassador of both the Virginia World War I and World War II Commission and Virginia Tourism Corporation.   The candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment and lift up to 50 pounds. The Tour Counselor must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and adequately communicate verbally and in writing. Experience in tourism and hospitality preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of the internet is a plus. Knowledge of World War I & World War II preferred. Considerable travel, including holidays and weekends, is required within Virginia and surrounding states.
