Currently seeking to hire 12 more sit down forklift operators and case pickers to start shortly for our large distribution center in Breinigsville.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for shipping, receiving, checking for accuracy, and storing materials in the warehouse. Fills orders, stacks pallets, and prepares customer orders for shipment. Operate pallets jacks, RF scanners, and sit down forklifts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read customer order and shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Sort and place materials or items on pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Sort and store goods in appropriate racking.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, and convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
Mark materials with identifying information as directed.
Record information regarding the amounts of materials or items distributed.
Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Operate designated equipment to transport materials from one location to another.
Certified to operate dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift while loading supplies and equipment.
Verify order accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have steel toes. Must be able to operate lift trucks, electric pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED, 6 months recent sit down forklift experience, and experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
SHIFTS AND SALARY:
Various shifts available
$15.00-16.50/hr
