Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a member of the patient food service team your responsibility will be to provide a patient experience of exceptional food services. A Food Service Tech II is responsible for the various operation7p-7a overnight (Thurs, Fri, Sat + every other Wed)s required for the assembly of the patient's meal tray for food quality, accuracy, appearance, and providing speedy room service delivery to the patient. This position includes memorizing and using a script to assure quality services, restocking various food and supply items, performing cleaning duties at the end of each meal period to prepare for set up of the next meal service line. This position will perform and maintain sanitation of patient service area to meet Joint Commission and State Health Department requirements. Display a professional style in appearance . 1.1 Providing personalized service to all guest .1.2 Deliver trays in a organized and timely manner. 1.3 Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress . 1.4 Achieve maximum time and effectiveness when delivering trays 1.5 Respond to patient request for assistance and information about room service .1.7 Listening and responding to patient complaints 1.8 Ability to work at a fast pace. Perform with a high degree of accuracy when assigned to Expo I and Expo 2 stationsFollow proper food handing techniques when preparing food. 2.1 Sets up assigned Expo.1 or 2 prior to scheduled start time.2.2 Places appropriate utensils and diet kit and condiment on tray. 2.3 Upon completion on room service line cleans and sanitization station and work area.2.4 Restock supplies on assigned stationPerform Galley stocking duties Ability to effectively manage time and keep accurate records of inventory. Must possess the basic knowledge of using proper stocking methods first in first out 3.1 Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 3.2 Take inventory of assigned galleys 3.3 Load stock carts an restock galley's according to established par levels, report discrepancies such as out dated item, overstocks items, loss of damage goods to the supervisor or manager. 3.4 Documents amounts of food delivered and files paperwork in appropriate location when stocking duties are completed.3.5 Upon completion clean and sanitize refrigerators Prepare patient supplements and snacks. 4.1 Prepare appetizing nourishment and snacks for patients according to diet order.4.2 Adheres to special diet modification when indicated and uses proper portions sizes when making nourishment . Store properly until delivery time . 4.3 Deliver supplement and snack to patient room at the indicated time . s, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of high school . Experience: Experience and proficiency in quantity food service functions are preferred.
