Billing Specialist - Full-time / Part-time

This is a permanent position with our client in New Hyde Park, NY.
We are seeking a competent Billing Specialist to undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks in order to help guarantee the timely and accurate billing of our time and material revenue. You will also track equipment listings for accuracy to ensure all appropriate billing has been captured.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Expedite the billing process by creating, reviewing & posting invoices daily
Maintain and update contract site equipment listings to make sure they match contract list. Share any discrepancies with our sales team.
Review unbilled report daily to ensure all invoices eligible to be posted get generated
Work closely with the service manager for final billing adjustments
Ensure techs are using correct part codes and common phrases for work performed
Discuss with service & field managers when techs need additional training on this topic

Requirements:

Proven experience as billing specialist. Minimum 2 years of billing experience preferred.
Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
Results-driven and patient
High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness
BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or BA, or equivalent work experience.
