The Kids Club at The Goddard School of Clarksburg is a unique and exciting program specifically tailored to children in elementary and middle school. We have state of the art facilities in a dedicated building which includes an art studio (with kiln), and exploration room, a dance/yoga studio,a teaching kitchen as well as a full gymnasium. We transport children to and from the area elementary and middle schools for before and after school enrichment programs during the school year. Throughout June, July and August we offer fantastic summer camp experiences across a wide range of themes. We are seeking dynamic and creative individuals with SCIENCE and SPORTS backgrounds to join our team for elementary age enrichment activities. Self-starters and team players, the ideal candidates will have extensive experience with elementary age children and programs. There are endless opportunities for the creative mind to build on our already robust offerings for school aged children. Do you have the energy, ingenuity and resourcefulness to take this program to the next level? This position is perfect for an existing teacher or college age student who is looking to augment their career. Job Requirements: This candidate will need a minimum of the 90 hour program for group leadership in elementary age programs. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities are absolutely necessary to thrive in this role. Past teaching experience is a big plus. One must be a team player, self-motivated, highly organized, prepared, and able to multitask. The daily responsibilities include: Meeting the individual needs of the children by directing and interacting to support play, exploration and learning Communicating professionally and appropriately with parents and fellow staff members Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child s age and developmental level Planning and implementing activities that reinforce self-esteem and social skills Building teamwork Ensuring compliance with Goddard safety and quality assurance guidelines Competitive compensation and premier facilities and support are included in this opportunity. Hours are typically from 4 6 pm daily with full day needs during elementary school vacation and summer break periods.
