Full time employment while only working half of the year! Our schedule allows for days off during the week and every other weekend is a three day weekend! Our schedule has two shifts and is on a two week rotation: Day Shift: 4am - 4pm. Night Shift: 4pm - 4am Week 1: Work on Monday and Tuesday. Off on Wednesday and Thursday. Work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Week 2: Off on Monday and Tuesday. Work on Wednesday and Thursday. Off on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Duties and responsibilities: Raw Material Handler : * Pulls and weighs material to support the production and sample center processes. * Consolidates raw materials to ensure efficient use of warehouse space. * Drives a fork truck. * Pulls checking resin as needed. * Handle material and conduct cycle counts. * Ensures goals are measured, reported and met or action plan is initiated to meet goals. * Audits the areas to ensure compliance to policies and procedures. * Participate in company meetings and training seminars as scheduled. * Facilitate problem-solving within the material handling and production group. * Responsible for notifying Lead Material Handler, Logistics Supervisor, or Shift Supervisor of any mechanical, technical, employee, or safety problems in the work area. * Assess plant housekeeping needs and striving for excellence. * Maintain plant and machine cleanliness standards. * Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures. * Follow UCC Quality System-approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed. * Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures. * Complete monthly Safety Observations and attend UCC Connect Meetings. Requirements: Preferred experience, training, and skills: * Must pass color test. * Operating knowledge of material handling process and scheduling process is a plus. * Knowledge of pigments, resins and different kinds of plastics * Physical requirements: * Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. * Ability to stand/walk up to 11 hours during the day.
