Uncle Oogie's Pizzeria is looking for a Full-Time Dishwasher/Prep person. The majority of the shifts are at night, from 4 pm to close, with weekends mandatory. As the Prep person develops their understanding of our recipes by using our prep manuals, other day time prep shifts will become available. Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred as some prep items will be needed quickly while maintaining our outstanding consistency. Reliability, efficiency and a passion for quality work are qualities we are looking for. GENERAL JOB GUIDELINES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, lunch meats and other food items for cooking in fryers, stoves, grills and a variety of other kitchen equipment. * Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. * Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. * Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products for all stations to assure a smooth service period. * Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications. * Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including prep tables, shelves, grills, fryers, burners, Bain Marie, flat top grill and refrigeration equipment. * Prepares item for grilling, frying, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating. * Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. * Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak (non-rush) periods as needed. * Maintains the cleanliness of the 3-basin sink area, back of house areas, and employee restrooms * Scrubs, cleans and sanitizes all bowls, pots, pans, trays, kitchen utensils, and all other small wares using a 3-basin sink * Follows all closing procedures and completes all cleaning checklists * Sweeps and mops all areas of the restaurant * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. * Performs other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or manager on duty. Please note this position is a night position, from 4 PM to Close
