Service Technician (Experienced Required) - Full-time / Part-time

The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he will also oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to her/him. WHAT WE OFFER: * Brand new state-of-the-art facility * Flexible Work Schedule (5 day work week) * We Promote a Work/Life balance * Paid Vacation and Holidays * Job Stability, Growth & Advancement * Ongoing Training and Development * Paid Uniforms * Updated Tools * EEO Employer * Paid Training * Under same ownership for 27 years * Full Factory Support RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards * Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, and communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts * Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer * Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required * Advise the Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised * Document work performed * Road-test vehicles when required, keeping in mind that customers vehicles should not be used for personal errands * Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned * Attend factory-sponsored training classes * Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins * Ensure that customers cars are kept clean * Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times * Wear approved safety glasses at all times when in designated safety areas * Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma * MUST have at least 2 years of experience as an auto technician * Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information * Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance * Learns quickly * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Excellent customer service skills * Team player * Must have a valid driver s license * Ensures that customer s cars are kept clean * Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner * Ability to identify problems quickly * Knowledge of automobiles * Math, reading, and computer skills * Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
