Position Purpose (Summary) The function of this position is to: * Develop profitable sales, and acquires customers through our established sales and marketing program. * Make recommendations to the customer regarding the different options they have to resolve their wants and needs. * Identify new business opportunities by performing direct sales activities, and provide support to the administrative personnel as requested. * Communicate proper operation and owner s maintenance of the installed tires and repairs to the Client. * Answer related questions as to operation, features, and functions to the client. * Perform required documentation for each installation and/or repair and have client sign necessary paper work and collect payments as directed. * Develop self-generated leads through networking, data mining (from existing client records), and referral generation from previous clients. Sales Associate Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks * Sets living example of what he/she would expect from another Richlonn s associate. * Maintain a professional image, clean and well groomed. * Opens and prepares store for business. * Schedules service work for the convenience of the customer, but with realistic expectations of when repairs will be completed. * Greets customers and determines their needs for tires and service repairs. Sells tires and service repairs, maintaining price discipline, to meet individual and store goal for maximum operating profit level. * Obtain monthly objectives for tire, road hazard and used tire sales. * Does invoice billing, using proper codes for all entries on invoice. Finalizes sales and accepts proper payment, cash or credit card, upon completion of work on vehicle. Supplies customer with all warranty information. Does invoicing of National Account clients. Maintains follow-up file and sends Thank You to completed tire sale. * Reconciles cash with sales receipts, filing operating records correctly, assists with inventories, or performs work of associates, as needed. * Performs end of day functions. Lock and secures store and makes daily deposits at designated banking facility. * Arranges eye catching tire and merchandise displays inside and outside of the building, and keeps message board current. Keeps used tires (preferably sets) on display in sales area with prices clearly marked and keeps the used tires in the storeroom in order. * Receives and inventories tires. Determines proper location by size and type of tire and either stock accordingly or supervises same. * Cleans showroom areas, restrooms and Manager s office, using prescribed housecleaning methods. Also assists in cleaning service area if help is needed. * Ensure compliance of associates with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures in a timely manner and takes appropriate action to satisfy customer. * Protects company assets. * Deliver high level of customer service, answer customer complaints or inquires in a timely manner and takes appropriate action to satisfy customer. * Stays abreast of industry changes through periodicals or outside shopping, what products are new and which are discontinued, tire product bulletins and learns the three-digit tire department codes. * Gives quotes on uninvolved service estimates. * Assists rest of staff in completing tasks associated with the profitable operations of the store. * Customer service orientation * Increase revenue from established customers, and generate additional revenue from new customers by using proper sales techniques, problem solving skills and account management * Follow-up on all leads, quotes, and potential sales until closed or lost * Track lost sales * Update the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for each interaction * Determine customer satisfaction with follow up on all installation/services sold.
