Rexel C& I is actively seeking a creative Graphic Designer with up-to-date knowledge to interpret our needs and design solutions with high visual impact. You will work on a variety of products, including websites, magazines, flyers, displays, banners, corporate identity etc. and you will cooperate with our marketing and e-commerce teams. This position will be located in Dallas, TX:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the design brief to record requirements and needs.
  • Advise on strategies to reach a particular audience.
  • Determine the message the design should portray.
  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas.
  • Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites.
  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout.
  • Create images that identify a product or convey a message.
  • Work on text content with the marketing team.
  • Schedule project implementation and define budget constraints.
  • Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software.
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts.
  • Amend final designs to comments and gain full approval.
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
  • Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Help review the content of the Rexel website.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in Distribution or Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years' in Graphic Design.
  • Up to date with industry leading software and technologies - Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Web design applications (Dreamweaver, HTML).
  • Knowledge of typography, color and production.
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts.
  • Outstanding writing communication skills.
  • Solid project/task management skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to learn/gain expertise in new systems & applications.
  • Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple/concurrent activities.
  • Proven track record of working well independently and delivering quality output in tight timeframes.
  • Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • Ability to work seamlessly in matrix organization.

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Distribution business including products and suppliers is a plus.
