Job Description:
Primary Job Functions:
Plan shipments to our customers using our transportation management software.
Build relationships with transportation vendors to ensure a high level of service to our customers.
Provide prompt, professional communication with both internal and external customers regarding business requirements and transportation related issues. This responsibility requires joint problem solving capabilities.
Additional Job Functions:
Identify, recommend and implement changes that solve problems and result in greater efficiencies and improved customer service.
Gather and analyze supply chain data, perform analysis of distribution networks, production and warehouse capacity, and financial models.
Monitor and address third party warehouse performance, including score-carding.
Involvement with the auditing of freight invoices and in the research of Overages, Shortages and Damages.
Working hours: 8-5
Skills:
Required (one of the following):
--A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/ Logistics
--Supply Chain/ Logistics experience and a Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or a related field
Qualifications/ Key Traits:
--2 or more years of related experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics or a similar role is a plus.
--Results oriented
--Attention to detail
--Able to support multiple projects and/or Logistics business functions
--Excellent communication skills
--Works well in a team environment
--Ability to interact with multiple levels and functions within the organization
--Experience with transportation management systems is a plus
