Lead Warehouse Supervisor - Full-time / Part-time

Responsible for The JDK Group's warehouse and logistical execution of all events. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures the success of everyday operations by appropriately training and maintaining the organizational systems of the operations department.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Communicate with internal and external customers concerning delivery, pickups, inventory and quality control concerns

• Responsible for opening operation and closing procedures of the warehouse

• Create and maintain standards for asset maintenance; continually working with the staff to help educate and improve our asset maintenance program while also holding the staff responsible

• Supervises and creates an environment for the dish, laundry, warehouse and rental teams that is complete with daily meetings, constant hands on coaching, and employee accountability through routine employee appraisals

• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement

• Controls inventory levels, purchasing when necessary and reconciling new, damaged or broken inventory within data management systems

• Oversee property, building, vehicle and equipment maintenance and upkeep in safe, clean and working condition

• Supervise load and unload of trucks in an organized and safe manner for equipment and personnel

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

• Other operations and on-site support as needed

Primary Objectives:

• Develop and maintain an asset maintenance system

• Manage and maintain all operations staff to include controlling labor costs

• Improve upon, develop, and maintain organizational systems of the operation

• Ensure operations and event success with appropriate training

• Cultivate a superior team of employees that fosters a work environment that encourages leadership and empowerment

• Promote the safety and health of the workforce

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in warehouse industry in a supervisory role

• Hospitality or food service experience a plus

• Basic handyman knowledge or skills is helpful

• Well-groomed/presentable

• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation; no major infractions within the last three years

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Must be able to pass/comply with background check
