EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE: The Dining Room Manager is responsible for providing high-quality service and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As second in command of the front of the house (after the Director), this position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing the satisfaction of all who come in contact with Food & Beverage. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee, train, and mentor front of house staff; establish schedules and assess performance * Ensure guests are properly greeted, seated, and the sequence of service is followed; this includes being accountable for your team operating in a timely manner that meets our quality standards * Support and fill-in for the Director of Food & Beverage at banquet and catering functions with regard to setup, execution, and tear down * Resourcefully resolve any guest issues that arise and own the outcome * Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in ordering supplies and stock inventory, including liquor orders; also assist in managing these costs to the department s budget * Abide by and enforce strict health and safety standards, including those established by the state * Other duties and special projects as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * Current Food Manager Safety Certification (i.e. through ServSafe) * High School Diploma (or equivalent) * Minimum of (3) years of supervisory experience in food service operations * Proficiency in departmental administration, time reporting, and inventory * Familiarity with country club/hotel/high-end operations * Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; intermediate skills a plus * Conflict resolution skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Must be a team player who is committed to delivering high-level customer service * Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record * Professional and respectful demeanor with all staff and guests at all times * Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimum supervision SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Must have and maintain a valid driver s license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Use standard office equipment, including: computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc. * Occasional use of standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including: appliances, tools, knives and food/beverages * Keen eye-hand coordination, as well as an astute sense of taste and smell * Be stationary or in motion for periods of time (often in motion) * Relocate up to (40) pounds SUPERVISES OTHERS?
