Our Early Learning Center in Humboldt Park provides early childhood services for special needs children ages 6 months to 5 years. The program is designed to manage the unique problems of these children, such as infections, undernourishment, developmental delays and psychological issues. To address these issues, the program offers specialized services including case management; physical, occupational, language and speech therapies; and on-site nursing care.

We are seeking a Teacher for one of our infant/toddler classrooms (ages 0-3). The Teacher provides direct care to children in a group setting as assigned by the Lead Teacher in the classroom, including writing assessments of children, participating in staffings, and writing lesson plans.

Qualifications:

  • Associate s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
  • Illinois Gateways Infant/Toddler Credential required.
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience working with young children in a child-care setting required.
  • Certifications in Infant/Child CPR, First Aid and Caring for the Mildly Ill Child preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) written and verbal communication skills preferred.
