With guidance from the Directors, he or she ensures that staff provides the best possible learning and care experience for the children in our programs, and markets the facility and our programs. He or she must have a good understanding of childcare management and early education. Responsibilities * Assists the Directors operate and manage all aspects of the school, including business management, education and continual learning and development, campus environment, and marketing and communications. * Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the program. * Actively develops and maintains positive staff relationships and parent partnerships and manages all resources effectively. * Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director. * Oversees the timely closing of the program. * Assists with student registration process. * Oversees inventory of classroom supplies. * Handle telephone and e-mail inquiries and messages. * Maintain, revise, and/or create procedures and document filing and storage. * Produce written reports as scheduled and when requested. * Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children. * Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times. * Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications, Skills and Abilities * Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility a plus * Some administrative or business experience a plus * Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality * Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress * Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment * Highly professional and dependable * Strong computer skills, including Google forms, Microsoft Office and the internet * Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations * Answer telephone, take messages & ensure quality communication * Prepare new enrollment packets * Create spreadsheets * Resolves administrative problems * Great communication with parents including development, behavior, and daily routines. * Become familiar with emergency procedures and protocol. * Comfort children in times of need and encourage children with expressions and hugs. * Keep confidential information secure.
