Join us as we strive for excellence. Duties and Responsibilities Genuine sales/service approach with a passion for The Allison experience and the ability to negotiate contract requirements. Work collaboratively with Banquet Management and Culinary team. Knowledge of, and an appreciation for, banquet service and culinary teams' roles in order to maintain strong relationships. Communicate with Meeting & Event Planners and perform all servicing aspects to include, but not limited to, room list coordination, menu planning, meeting room set requirements, d cor, basic audio visual and any other needs as necessary. Monday through Friday work schedule and requires availability to work on weekends and evenings as needed. Position offers flexibility with scheduling. * Schedule must be flexible to accommodate full-time (unless otherwise noted) AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications * Minimum 3 years of catering and event sales experience in an upscale environment required. * Passionate about food and wine * This individual finds hard work rewarding and is someone who is eager to share their talents for the betterment of the team. * Ability to qualify a high volume of inquiries, present proposals, finalize group room contracts/catering contracts. * The ability to develop and foster strong relationships with guests that bring return group business to The Allison. * Familiar with Willamette Valley wine region. Ability to promote a complete wine region experience by offering offsite activity suggestions and transportation recommendations when needed. Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), organized, efficient, detail oriented and able to effectively manage multiple events at one time. Enjoys a fast pace environment. Possesses a positive demeanor, welcomes change, enjoys working as part of the team and has a desire to serve our internal and external guests. Hotel operations and group room sales experience a plus. Knowledge of Delphi, Maestro or property management/catering sales program * Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays. * Ability to effectively communicate with all team members. * An enthusiastic, positive demeanor and desire to provide exceptional guest service. * Background Check * Drug Screening
