Job Title: Quick Lube Data Entry Technician SUMMARY The Quick Lube Data Entry Technician works for the Quick Lube Manager and is responsible for performing repair order data entry for retail and internal customer s vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene and uniform appearance. Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty and genuine concern for the customers. Keep within the estimates that have been given to the customer. Carefully inspect every repair order and vehicle for proper job completion. Advise the Manager of any repairs or services that are needed. Advise the Service Manager of any situation that jeopardizes the safety, welfare or integrity of the Dealership, its employees or customers. Outlines required customer services on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Insure all data entry is clear and accurate. Insure all internal repair orders are closed in a timely fashion. Insure all customer pay repair orders are closed at the time of final sale. Insure till is accurate and balances with the cash balance report. The employee s responsibility for the beginning and collected cash balance may result in payroll deduction to reimburse the company for shortages. Insures all credit card receipts are accounted for and match the daily sales summary. Insure all checks are properly stamped for deposit. Insure all factory menu and multi point vehicle inspections are completed and presented to the customer for every repair order. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies Quick Lube manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Keeps computer area neat and clean. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by service manager. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Certificate of completion by accredited college or university in administration for office personnel and or equivalent experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
