Home Appliance Showroom Store Manager The Home Appliance Showroom Store Manager is responsible for management and overall performance of the showroom. This includes, but is not limited to, selecting, scheduling, supervising, directing, coaching, counseling, disciplining, training and performance management of associates; sales volume, key driver and profitability analyses; maximization of credit and other miscellaneous revenues; expense management and overall financial performance; identification and solution of business problems; creation and implementation of competitive strategies; managing productivity standards; and overall store management responsibilities. The HA Showroom Store Manager is also responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of all receiving activities, including unloading merchandise, merchandise preparation and staging. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Develops a high-performance team by, modeling, coaching, developing and managing performance of associates. * Plans, directs and supervises the work and productivity levels of associates to ensure performance standards are met or exceeded. * Recognizes associates for exceptional performance through the management of the entire sales floor and operations. * Conducts observation, training and coaching of associates in selling process and skills to ensure adherence to all established HAS performance standards * Makes appropriate decisions on associate performance, including positive reinforcement and following various appropriate disciplinary processes as needed. * Helps create opportunities for associates to enhance their existing skills to prepare for future roles; identifies, mentors and develops potential promotable associates. * Consistently uses communication vehicles such as Store wide meetings, town hall meetings, etc. to ensure associates are well-informed of upcoming promotions, store events and company initiatives, business and merchandising strategies and goals * Develops and implements sales, associate and other initiatives throughout the store * Plans and holds one-on-one meetings with associates to improve performance, set standards, and plan future development of those associates. * Sets plans and strategy to lead the store to ensure achievement of business goals in sales and miscellaneous revenue * Fully optimizes Credit (ex. Share, new accounts) and other miscellaneous income opportunities (maintenance protection agreements, installation, gift cards, Home Service Leads, etc.) within the store * Understands local market focus and tracks competition and trends in the market * Educates associates on financial literacy and productivity measures to help each associate understand how he/she contributes to the store's overall sales performance * Conducts financial review, analyses, and long term planning and management of business and key drivers to impact sales and profit. * Reports/presentations to leadership regarding business performance, identification of areas of opportunity, and plan and strategy to enhance performance and/or remedy issues. * Sets plans and strategy to manage expense, understand and drive profit, maintain appropriate merchandise protection standards * Manages expenses to include appropriate spending, payroll allocation, etc. * Ensures all established business processes are followed with regards to opening and closing the store, administrative functions including paper work and documentation. * Ensures all established business processes are followed regarding banking including making bank deposits within prescribed time requirements. * Ensures delivery trucks are properly accounted for according to the defined procedures. * Prepare and move merchandise to the appropriate staging locations including the stockrooms, HFM customer pick-up areas and the sales floor. * Maintain the stockroom in a neat, orderly and safe manner * Promptly serve the customer for merchandise pickups * Other duties and projects as assigned Role specific abilities/skills: * Knowledge of financial operations and processes; analytically skills to diagnose root cause of deficiencies * Ability to lead through influence * Successful track record in retail operations * Ability to lead and develop a team * Strong financial literacy * Ability to conduct and lead meetings and presentations * Strong organizational and management skills * Ability to manage employee performance, including, but not limited to, documenting performance issues, creating and managing performance plans with specific goals for improvement, counseling where necessary. * Ability to identify and solve complex issues affecting store performance.
