Tech Lead - Warehouse

Job DescriptionDo you have a knack for Mobile Apps and Software? Do you like to be the first to know something new and share that knowledge with your peers? If so, SKU2U is looking for you!The Tech Lead Fulfillment Specialist will be the first to be trained on all new software, apps, processes and procedures. In this position, you will be the Go To Person for all technology being used in the warehouse environment. You will work closely with the SKU2U Development Team to train on new applications and features, recommend new features and changes, train your peers on all apps, process and procedures and keep an eye out to make sure everyone is performing their role the way you trained them (and the way we trained you).Attention to detail is a must in this role and passing a computer literacy test will be required. Here are some of the things we are looking for in this role:Have the ability to understand and quickly learn new software and usage.Be Savy and Creative so you can recommend new features for apps and software.A Communicator with the ability to explain things in \"layman's terms\" so a variety of end-users can understand.A Leader who earns respect by demonstrating they know the job.A Teacher who likes to share knowledge and train your peers.Other Day-To-Day Responsibilities include:Inventory Shopping in the Warehouse (Requires use of a mobile Device and Scanner).Packing Orders into their respective Shipments (Requires use of a mobile device and scanner).Inventory Management, including Inventory Verification Counts, Relocations, Returns and other tasks as needed.Application of Shipping Label and Sealing the Carton (Requires the use of a Tape Gun).Constructing of Pallets for Bulk Shipments (Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted).Quality Control Check for your teams shipments and verify against a packing slip / Scan system. Respond to application errors that appear in the warehouse and help the end-user figure out a solution.Process Shipments in the Shipping Application.Ensure proper organization of the warehouse.Ensure policies and procedures are being followed by warehouse staff and applications are being utilized correctly.We will require the following Skills: Above average understanding of General Web and System ApplicationsLogical and Critical Thinking SkillsGreat Communication Skills (Oral and Written)Ability to work in a team environment and foster Healthy RelationshipsTalent for Multi-Tasking and working intra-departmentally.Passing of a Computer Literacy Test.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for assuring that their teams are performing to set standards and following processes and procedures. Work Environment: The employee is subject to loud noises, vibrations, hard-working surfaces and the presence of forklifts and operators.Physical Demands: Moderate walking, standing and/or climbing stairs; regular lifting (up to 50 pounds in some circumstances), carrying of product, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Work on Step Stools, Stairs and possible ladder usage.Typical Schedule:Typical Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Occasional weekend hours may be required.Travel: No travel is expected for this position.
