CAD Technician

Job Description SE3 has an opening in our Dallas, TX office for a Sr. CAD Technician. This position will oversee all CAD operations for Microstation, including maintaining SE3 CAD standards with key emphasis on streamlining CAD Design process to maximize efficiency. General Responsibilities Works with the design team to develop construction plan sets using MicroStation, Geopak/OpenRoads and other Bentley products. Maintain CAD procedures and updates procedures based on TxDOT and NTTA CAD Standards Troubleshoots problems Trains new operators and up-dates training of CAD Users in MicroStation, Geopak/OpenRoads and other Bentley products Develops productivity tools Works closely with IT to ensure company hardware and software are updated to allow proper CAD operation Setup new projects Required Education/Licenses Minimum of technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience Required Experience 8+ years of experience as a drafter and designer Competent in Microstation and Geopak/OpenRoads Competent in setting up and hosting ProjectWise Technical knowledge of CAD operations and engineering specialty discipline A resource person with knowledge of advanced applications of system hardware and software Effective communication skills both oral and written Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers Detail oriented A MUST with a strong aptitude for presentation, consistency and professionalism within all CADD deliverables.
