TAMKO Building Products, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrician at our Engineering and Construction facility in Webb City, Missouri. The Industrial Electrician installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Provides leadership on electrical projects.

Functional understanding of electrical systems.

Highly motivated.

Requirements
High School diploma or GED and more than 5 years related experience. Journeyman s license.
Travel required up to 75%.
All Applicable Powered Industrial Trucks.
High-voltage safety training.
10 or 30 hour OSHA certification.
PLC classes as appropriate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership at jobsites for electrical crew work in support of a project. When assigned, provide overall leadership on jobsite to include mechanics and carpenters.
Assist the Electrical Supervisor in developing the capabilities of your team and junior electricians.
Effectively support capital projects and/or maintenance work-orders to include:
Project focus: Refer all requests for work which is outside the original scope of the job to the Electrician Supervisor.
Quality: Ensure craftsmanship of all work performed by E&C electrical personnel and teams.
Communication: Proactively provide accurate, complete, and relevant information to key stakeholders (mechanic team leaders, process owners, work crew members, project engineer, other contractors and suppliers).
Execution: Drive projects to an on-time completion.
Resourcing: Assist the Electrician Supervisor in ensuring material resources are available in a timely manner to support each phase of a project though completion.
Budget: Pursue cost savings in all areas. Assist the Electrician Supervisor in ensuring crews are working diligently and deliberately to safely complete projects within budget.
Provide estimates of costs for materials and labor to complete most routine electrical projects.
Demonstrate proficiency in all types of conduit layout and bending in a uniform manner with correct supports and sizing, for a quality installation both visually as well as functionally.
Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, rotating equipment and programmable controllers.
Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, transmitters and position sensing devices.
Replaces electrical motors, starters, overload/overcurrent protection and connection devices.
Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in building.
Installs and certifies data/communication cables such as cat5e, Profibus and other data highways.
Able to perform I/R thermography inspections and document findings.
Ensure work areas are clean at the end of each work shift and at the completion of each job.
Perform other tasks as designated by the Electrician Supervisor.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high and/or precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold and heat, and confined spaces. A respirator may be required at times. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
