Tutor Doctor provides in-home, one-on-one tutoring for students of all ages and all subjects. By joining the Tutor Doctor Tutor Roster, you will work with a dynamic team to influence the lives of hundreds of students and families! We are currently seeking tutors to travel to students' homes for one-to-one tutoring, particularly in and around Carlisle, Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg and York. Tutoring involves clarifying and teaching subject matter, as well as assessing the student's knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. We are interested in tutors with expertise in subject areas of Elementary, Middle and High School programs such as English, Mathematics, Calculus, Algebra, Spanish, French, and other foreign languages, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, etc. We are especially interested in instructors with experience tutoring: ESL; SAT/ACT, GED and High School entrance exam preparation; and/or Computer Sciences. Applicants with College, University and Adult Education experience are also encouraged to apply. RESPONSIBILITIES * Be able to provide a session report for our office and families within twenty-four hours of each tutoring session * Effectively and comprehensively teach in the area of expertise * Teach executive, organizational. and study skills to the student * Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry * Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching field of expertise * Experience teaching students with dysgraphia, discalculia, and dyslexia would be an advantage * Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement * Experience with basic Database/ Data Entry * Be able to create lesson plans * Having a personality that is suited for different types of students * Strong administration skills * Strong typing, PC and recording skills * Having reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must * Access to the internet, a computer, and a smart phone COMPENSATION $18+ per hour at start
